 . Usually Diwali is celebrated on Ammavasi day of Karthika .The 15th day of Karthika month. This year Diwali starts on November 2nd and after 5 days it ends on 6 November.

 DANDERAS-Purchasing day of Gold and Silver 4 or 5 Utensils -Nov 2nd

 NARAKA CHATHURDASI-Killing Narakasura -Nov 3rd

 LAKSHMIPOOJA- Mostimportant day. Amavasi day. Ganesh Lakshmi,Saraswathi,Mahakali,Kubera pooja- Nov 4

 GOVARDAN POOJA-Cook 108 types of food. Govardana Avathara pooja of Krishna. -Nov 5

 BHAI DOOJ-God of death, Yama visits his sister. All Sisters pray for their brothers. Comes in second day after Lakshmi pooja - Nov 6

KARTHIKA POURNAMI.

Kartik Purnima, in the ongoing year, will fall on November 19. However, the Purnima tithi will begin a day before, that is, November 18.

It is believed that on this day, LORD SHIVA descends on the Earth and becomes one with the entire universe. The lighting of ghee lamps with 365 Battis on this day is equal to lighting a lamp each day of the year. The whole nature becomes one with the SUPREME SOUL i..e LORD SHIVA.
